Gödöllő Forestry Unit

The hunting area belonging to the Forestry Unit management is located near Galgamácsa, Kálló and Acsa on the southern part of Cserhát hills and near Gödöllő on the northern part of the Gödöllő Hills. The 9700-ha area’s degree of forest coverage is 63%, stand forming tree species are:  turkey oak, oak, hornbeam, false acacia. There are two game parks on the hunting area which provide opportunities for organising wild boar hunting events with rich bag on 460 and 280 hectares respectively. An excellent red deer stock lives on the area and the roe-bucks are of good medium quality as it is typical to the region. Individual hunting and hunting in company, approaching by a horse-cart, pot-shooting techniques, individual stalk hunting, roe-deer calling, driven hunt as hunting methods can be exercised all. The Galgamácsa Hunters’ House of the Forestry Unit is open for our hunter guests all year long. The hunting area lies at 50 km from Budapest, the distance from Gödöllő is 26 km. It can be accessed via M3 motorway and road no. 3.

Valkó Forestry Unit

The area located in the Gödöllő Hills has a surface of 14000 ha, degree of forest coverage is 72%, stand forming tree species are: turkey oak, hornbeam, oak, false acacia, maple. Its average height above sea level is 260-300 m. There is a game park possessing mixed game stocks on the hunting area, which is available on 398 hectares mainly for wild boar hunting with rich bag. It is due to the definitively rolling country feature of the area that the roads can be utilised well both in winter and summer and all the parts of the area can be accessed well and simply. The Isaszeg Hunters’ Lodge of the Forestry Unit  insures accommodation for the hunters all year long. The hunters’ house is located between Isaszeg and Dány at 4 km from Isaszeg. The hunting area lies at 40 km from Budapest, the distance from Gödöllő is 15 km. It can be accessed via M0 motorway through Pécel or via M3 motorway from the Gödöllő exit.
